“I bet King Zeus broke down and got a mini-van”

A few tunes.

This one is one I wrote called: Mt. Olympus.  I am singing with the incredible Andrew Nath.  Lyrics follow….

Maybe the gods have got a ten year plan
I’ll bet Poseidon is a sentimental man
I bet he reads alot and I bet he understands
How to build earthly mountains shifting tiny grains of sand

Maybe King Zeus broke down and got a minivan
All of his ladyfriends- they think they understand him
I bet he eats alot and plays tennis when he can
And I bet Zeus the god aspires to be a better man

Da da da’s

I don’t see what’s so different about that Mount Olympus
I don’t see it at all
It seems like it’d be like what we’re in…
right here where a butterfly in Paris can stir a Carolina wind.
It seem like it’d be like what we’re in…
right here where a butterfly in Paris can stir a Carolina wind

This one is a BoDeans cover I was assigned for local radio station MMM’s local songwriter contest, Project M in 2012.  I was booted off  because they didn’t like my first performance from the week before.  But they didn’t tell me to hit the bricks until after I learned and performed this cover.  It’s a great song- glad I learned it.
